Red Velvet doesn't just have to be in the form of a cake. It's so delicious that you'd be crazy not to try it in cupcake form! You can also try it with mini cupcakes for something a little more bite-sized.

Have I mentioned that Red Velvet is my favorite kind of cupcake? I love the look and the flavor but I also like to add a few little things myself to my red velvet recipe.

You can also either make them from scratch or use a boxed cake mix recipe, both are great. And you really can't top it with anything more delicious than a rich creamcheese icing, which is almost my favorite part of the whole process!

If you're looking for something amazing try adding chocolate-covered strawberries on top!

*My favorite Red Velvet Cupcake Recipe*

Red Velvet Recipe:

1 1/4 cups sifted flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoons regular or Dutch-processed cocoa powder

1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

3/4 cups granulated white sugar

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon liquid red food coloring

1/2 teaspoon white distilled vinegar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup confectioners' (icing or powdered) sugar, sifted

2/3 cup cold heavy whipping cream

So alas if you're looking for a delicious dessert to bring to any type of party, whether it be a birthday party, graduation, christmas dinner, or just any special occasion, red velvet cake in any form is always a favorite of the whole crowd!

Think of unique ways of serving this delicious cake, perhaps as cut up into small squares and place on a sqewer like cabobs! Or try a beautiful layered red velvet cake on a glass patter. The possibilities are endless!
